Springboard is a unified cloud-based subscription platform providing real-time insights from multiple data systems and offering a marketplace of plug-and-play AI tools.

When I joined the project, the design was already live with one client. However, the product owner was not satisfied with the overall look and feel of the design and its user experience. My main task was to improve and update the entire look and feel of the product to deliver a higher user experience.

After analysing the existing user interfaces, I instantly noticed that the design is outdated and not scalable with the company’s next 5-year plan.

I also researched the competitor landscape and competitor product offerings to understand the weaknesses and threats to the product design. I then collected feedback and input about the existing product design from users and team members.

Using all the findings and input, I curated a plan to revamp the existing user experience and presented it to the product owners and the team for further input and approval.

The fundamental considerations of my approach were

  • Delivering a rich user experience with a future-proof user design

  • Creating a design which requires minimum development effort to meet the set timeline of the project

I started my design by curating the right colour palette. The existing colour palette was not accessible friendly. The newly developed colour palette is accessible-friendly, setting blue as the new primary colour. Setting a shade of blue can create a better interaction than other colours, and it is much more visible to the human eye. The entire design is fully responsive, with a newly introduced dark mode for users who use the application for longer hours.

Apart from the above, the design and the development process is in full compliance with ISO 9001 standards as the company was working towards obtaining the ISO certification in 2022.
